We had to find words that describes the photo. We then had to use the words to form sentences to describe the picture. I used words like describing words. On the slide it shows more information of what I did.

Swimming | Water safety |

L.I: To learn water safety

Swimming was about water safety we started with freestyle. Freestyle was all about our arms, legs and breathing and that was hard for me because I had to do freestyle and I had to breath after six kicks and that was hard because I only took one breath at a time. The second water safety thing we did was backstroke. Second we did was backstroke we to make our arms straight and we had to twist our hand at the top then we have to roll this one was hard because we did the backstroke backwards and we had to try and roll our hands around so we can go more distance I tried my best to do it but I failed but I still tried. lastly we did endurance swimming that was the most hardest thing I did in swimming because we went on another lane and we had to swim to the end and I was too small and I nearly dried and we had to do it two times and I tried my best and I made it and that was not the best swimming thing I did.

Writing | Persuasive speech |



Writing was about persuasive speech we learned it by making a google draw and picking a topic my topic was rugby league and on the video it shows a screencastify  of me practicing it and it shows my persuasive speech on the video. The video also shows my reason and explanation and opinions. The structure was oreo and this is how it went:

L.I: To learn incline plane

Inquiry was about inclined plane we learned it by watching a video and learning it by watching what it does after that we played with cars and had some fun then we saw if a incline plane is easy to lift a person up or just to lift the person up and the easy way was the incline plane way then we had to fill a google draw and on the google draw it shows more information.

L.I: To learn rescuing

Swimming was about rescuing people in the water and being rescued in the water. When we had get into it he showed us an example of not doing when someone is saving you. Try not to panic and not pull the person down that's saving you. James said we had to get into a partner and I find my partner after that james said one of us has to go in the water my partner said he will then one has to be sitting outside of the water. I was the one sitting outside of the water then he said grab a noodle and he said try to rescue your partner and the position was lying down because it will be easy to pull to them to surface after that we swapped sides then I was the one who pulled up. Now I learned how to rescue someone in the water and how to be rescued.

Maths | Area and Perimeter |



L.I: What is area and perimeter
 Perimeter counts the outside of the shape and it changes when the shape is moved into another shape. Area is the space inside the shape and it stays the same even when the shape is changed because the inside of the shape stays the same. On the image it has more information and shapes I did and what it changed and what was the same.

L.I: To control our emotions and body

We first started by talking about our theme and topic after we talked about it we did our activity our activity was called coping with challenges.

Activity | Coping with challenges |
The challenges were doing the maori colors with the english word with it and the other challenge was doing the alphabet backwards and the other challenge was doing the catch phrase with your own actions and last is doing

  • 5x push ups
  • 5x sit ups
  • 5x squat
  • 5x burbies

We had to do these challenges in a minute .The first one I did was doing the alphabet backwards we tried to do it frontwards but the kiwi can teacher said we couldn't. The second challenge we did was doing our own actions for the catch phrase. The second to last one was doing the the 5x push ups, 5x sit ups, 5x squat and 5x burbies that was hard because we only made it ones but that was challenging but I tried my best to accomplish it and lastly was doing the maori colors and we only got five colors correct but we I still tried my best. After that we talked about what our emotion was at the end. The activity was challenging but I tried my best.

L.I: To write a quick persuasive speech
Writing was about persuasive speech the persuasive speech I wrote about was rugby league. I have to convince my teacher to say that rugby league is a good sport to play. The persuasive speech structure was oreo because the order goes like this:Opinion Reason Explanation Opinion. That was the structure and the explanation was like the extra information. The image shows more information of the persuasive speech I did the image was like a plan.

L.I: What is area and perimeter 
This week for maths we were learning about perimeter and area. Perimeter is count and add and it also means the edges and sides. Area means multiply and when you multiply the shape you add the multiplication that are in the shape but it has to be seperate and you add them all together and that was how I used area.

Swimming | Water safety |

L.I: To learn water safety

This week for swimming we started with streamline so we could get accurate at it. Streamline was like normal we had to put our hands straight and put one on top of the other then you have to just swim and then you will get it. The next one was with the streamline but when you do the streamline you have roll then breath and that was called streamline and roll for breath and if you do it you have to not swing your head around. the second to last one was kicking on back that is easy because you just have go on your back and start kicking. Lastly is Breast stroke or you can call it survival stroke that was the one I liked because you have to put your legs straight then make a v then take your legs out then bring it back in and that makes a force that can push you and that was the coolest part of swimming.

Maths | 3D shapes |

L.I: make,name and describe polygons and other plane shapes

This week for maths I was learning about 3d shapes but we first had to learn about 3d shapes and how to make it. On the image it shows what kind of shapes I made and on the image it shows the steps. First you have to add a box but it has to have for connected and two on the top then you have to add tabs so it can connect properly then we made a pyramid that was the hard part but when I was getting closer to finishing it was getting easier and on the image it shows the the shape when I finished.


Lion King | Trip |

Mr Ogilvies reading group was going to ormiston junior college so we could watch a play about the Lion king. We got there in a bus and it was at botany and that was far because we were at panmure when we got there we had to wait at ormiston junior college for them to get there theater ready. When we got there it was a amazing school and when we had a look at the spaces we had to go in the theater. When we got there it was like the cinemas we had to wait for the performers to get read. When it started it was awesome the characters they had to move things and their costumes were realistic. There were parts when they were fighting and there was a part when people were laughing at the end of the lion king that was the coolest part that I liked. When we finished we had a tour around the school and the school looked amazing.

This week for swimming we started with streamline kicking. If you want to do the streamline kicking you have to put your arms together and put one of your hands on top of the other and then when you push yourself start kicking in the water. The next thing we did was freestyle. If you wanted to do freestyle you have do the same thing as the streamline kicking but you have to swing your arms in circles. The next one we did was rolling back to front. We had to do it by kicking of our fleeting after we did that we had to go on our back and count to six then go back on our belly and that is how you do it. Lastly was dolphin dive. If you like to do you have to go down then you have to come back up.

L.I: To understand emotions

Kiwi can was about emotions the topic was understanding emotions and the theme was Resilience that means coping with challenges and bouncing back then we moved on to the energizer

Energizer
The energizer was emotion intensity that was a hard game but I was trying my best my emotion was grinning that was one of the happy ones. The next thing we had to do was find someone that has a emotion that's like happy then we find the people and when we found them we had to put them in order like going intens our words were kind of hard but we put them in order.

After the energizer we talked about emotions and what kind of emotion can affect on other people like being angry and that was hard then we had to do the emotions by doing it in body language.

L.I: To get faster at basic facts
The basic fact speed demon I did was up to ten that was hard because all the numbers smaller than ten were easy but the two digit numbers were hard because they all confused me and on the image it shows what time I got and how many answers I got right and wrong.

Swimming | Water safety |

L.I: To learn about water safety
This week for swimming we were doing Swimming streamline with james that was kind of easy because we can just swim in a straight line with our hands on the side or straight without paddling.
That was hard because my group had to go to the deep side that was hard for me because I never had enough breath to breath. The next thing we did arm circles that was hard because we had to go on our back and we had to circle our hands and the other things we did were:
  • Bounce and breathe
  • Endurance swimming
  • Dolphin kick
These were things we did bounce and breath was the fun one because we had to just jump in the water and breath. The second to last one was endurance swimming that means we had to start from the beginning and go to the deep side and that was hard because we had to not touch the floor. The last one was Dolphin kick that was fun and we had a fun time.

Cybersmart was about keywords and smart searching keywords are the words that are important and smart searching is the things you search that are important like the keywords that are highlighted. I had to search the questions on the slide the slide shows what questions I did and what sport I did. The slide shows more information and links.

Writing was about a experiment the experiment was about playing handball with two balls to see which ball is better to play handball with. The balls we used were tennis balls and high bounce balls I picked the high bounce ball because it is faster then the tennis ball and I don't like the tennis balls because they are too slow. When we finished doing the experiment we when on a slide and comment about which ball was the best alot of people picked high bounce ball and that's what I picked read my comment to see what I said about what I like about it.

L.I: To show emotions
Kiwi can was about was about emotions the catch phrase was "if you feel it don't doubt just get it all out. That was our catchphrase the theme was Resilience and the topic was understanding emotions.

Energizer
The energizer was emotions we had to hive five each other and the ne thing we did was star jumps then we planks to 10 seconds then we did 20 after that we did 30 second then we did 1 minute that was hard but I just gave up.

Activity
The energizer was emotion Charades that was a game that you have to act like what the paper says and that was fun because my one was being naughty in class and we had to act to it without talking that was kind of hard because we just threw things at the teacher at that was what the energizer was.

This week for maths we were learning about 3d shapes the 3d shapes were hard because we had to make the same shape on top and that was hard because we had to get are lot of materials like tooth pick and blu tack that was hard because we had to do the same as the 2d shapes and the 2d shapes were easier.
