MOTAT | Mind Lab |

L.I: To learn how to make technology.
This week my class and other classes went to a trip and the trip was at MOTAT. When we got there we made some technology like making a flashlight but before we made that we had to make something and connect something called a LED to the motor the motor helps it on.
Flash Light
When I did that we had to get into groups my group was the first group to connect the LED to the motor then we had to make a base for it and to on the light we had to twist the cog to make it work and when we finished that we had to make a base.

My group made a base that was tall so we could put the LED on top but when we did that a group never did that they made something that was small the we had to make our base small then as soon as I put the LED on the base we the session was finished then we had to move on.
Making Electric cars
When we finished making a flashlight we made Electric cars I had to be in a partner when I got my partner we had to get the things we needed to make we had to get a motor so it can work then we had to make the motor connect to the propeller then we had to make a body but not heavy because we had to make the car fast.

We made the axle so the wheels can go on the sides then when we made the body we connected everything then our car was made.

Geometry | 2d shapes 3d shapes | Maths


L.I: Make, name and describe polygons and other plane shapes.
Maths was about shapes but we had to make 2d shapes and the shapes we made was: Square, Triangle, Hexagon, Pentagon, Rectangle and octagon:
First we made a square that has four equal sides that can make a cracker.
The next shape I made was a triangle that has three sides and like a sandwich.
The next step was a hexagon a hexagon has six sides and a shape of a honeycomb.
Then the next one was pentagon a pentagon has five sides and on a soccer ball pattern.
The second to last one was rectangle it has four sides and a shape of a book.
last was octagon a octagon has eight sides and a shape of a stop sign.

Persuasive text | Writing


L.I: To identify persuasive texts.

Persuasive means to convince someone to believe you this was one of the words we learnt and the words are: Advertisement, letter, article, review and speech we learnt all these words and I never understood them but we had a brain storm then we understood what it meant in my slide it shows more information of what I was doing.

Swimming and water safety

L.I To learn water safety skills

Our first lesson for water safety was used to get into groups and show the instructors our swimming ability. I was put into Elisabeth's group.
In Elisabeth's group, we practised streamline, backstroke and freestyle.

Duffy

This term we had some visitors and they were making a show that was about duffy. When we went in the hall they introduced themselves then they started they're play first duffy was at home then he had to go to his cousin house sam so they could play then when he got there sam was playing on her ps3 and the game she was playing was magic bricks then duffy said to her if they should play but she just said she doesn't want to play so he kept on saying if she wanted to play then he found his nanays glasses then he put it on then he did his nanays special dance then he got sucked into magic bricks then sam called duffy's name then she knew that duffy was in the game.
Then her cousin try to help but she got herself in the game with her nanays book then duffy said if he could read the book then duffy tried to walk but he was out of energy then everyone said hot dog so he could get energy then they did a dumpling dance that their nana did then they were out of the game. I had fun and they were funny.

L.I: To learn different emotions

Theme - Resilience
Topic - Emotions

This term for kiwi can our new theme was resilience and the topic was emotions resilience means not to give up and emotions means what you feel or how you act.

Activity
The activity we played was Silent emotion disco this game was about showing emotions without talking and that was hard because it was hard for people to understand because we had to be silent then we had another activity that was about it was like the same but their was one person wearing headphones and everyone else had to act like the emotion the teacher said and we can't say the answer we had to be silent and act the emotion and then the person with the headphones has to try an answer it when they answer it you have to switch with someone else then on the last part we got a hard one and it was nervous that was hard for us because we couldn't talk and the energizer was fun.

Catch Phrase - If you feel it, let it out Don't doubt. Just get all out.

Kiwi sport/HIit workout.

L.I: To get fit and workout our body.
Groups of Ls1 went to hit. For kiwi sport we were doing hit. Hit is when you work out your mussel and your body.The first group did easy workout and the other group did hard workout.We had to do heaps pus-sup so we can be fit. We had to get into partner and my partner was liletian.

One of us had to  workout first then we had to switch when Mr ogilvie says. We need to do all of the
active around the hall. After we had done that work out we had to go to the next work out with our partner. We need to were and strap and a heart rate montro around us so we no how fast our hearts are going. When The music start when the song had stop that when we had to switch.

i had fun doing the push ups and pull ups and also the mountain  climbings.

Maths | Fraction |


L.I: Share equally into groups using our time tables.
This week for maths we were learning about fraction and for a fraction there is different parts to a fraction and there is numerator and denominator that is like 1 half the numerator is 1 and the denominator is how much there is that was hard but I tried my best to understand on the slide it shows different fraction and explaining fraction and not a fraction.

Writing | Meaningful |


L.I: To write meaningful information and explain visually.
This term for writing I was learning about meaningful information that was hard because I had to find information of basketball, Swimming and Gymnastics these were hard because we had to find different information of each sport that was hard because I did not know any of these sports and that was the hard part about it but I tried my best to understand then that was when it was getting easier and the pictures will show information of the different sports I did.


My Constellation | Reading


L.I: To use skimming, scanning, and summarising.
Constellation is stars that create a image or picture. In LS1 we had got into partners and picked out a constellation to make. My partner was Sulia. When we finished picking out a constellation, We started to make that constellation with marshmallows and skewers. We had picked Leo for our constellation. This slide can tell you about what we did and information about Leo.

SSR Selfie

This week for ssr selfie I was reading the book Amulet and that was a book that had adventure in it and that was cool and there was battles happening and the amulet was helping I find this book in my school library and it is cool to read and it is a graphic novel I like these book because they have picture and it is showing who is talking this was a fun book to read.

L.I: To recap learning from the term

This week for kiwi can we had to recap of what we did this term and what kind of topic we did and our catchphrase these were kind of hard because we had to talk about and we kind of forgot but some of us remembered and we had to do all the catchphrases by ourself and that was hard but some of us remembered some bit of it and we put them together and then it was the catchphrase then we had to pick two games and the two games were invisible touch and octopus the first game we played was invisible touch that was fun because the other team was getting some points and we were getting more points then them after that we were playing octopus and that was easy because there was a lot of us and there were only three people in and when we finished playing we had lollipops when we finished it was fun and I have enjoyed kiwi can and I like the games we played.

L.I: To state our like

This week for maori we had to state our likes and put them in a image and then show them the maori way of saying it and that was hard for me to do because I had to search up every time what it means and I liked how we could pick any thing because one of them was rugby and I had other things as well this was fun because we could look at other people things and they had cool things. They like my one as well and it was fun when I made my states that I like.
